Top 10 favorite grandmother toys

Tis the season to list your top 10 everything so I'm starting with my top 10 favorite grandmother toys:

These bendable figures have each of the grandchildren's head shots in them (and Lolli and Pops' too)and they have been a favorite of every age here. I got them at a discount store for next to nothing!

This fold out soft chair is the biggest hit of all. The toddlers and babies have tumbled and played on this chair more than anything I have. It was well worth the $30 I paid for it. And it stores easily into any closet.

Scratch and Sniff books have been all time favorite for years. This book has made it through 2 generations and many a joyful Christmas.

Lincoln Logs and wooden blocks are the older kids favorite at our house.
Dress up clothes are the hit with both girls and boys. There has been some fun drama at Lolli and Pops over the years.
Love those nice quiet foam puzzles!

Baby quilts with favorite characters, colors and a mobile hanging from it to make tents as they get older
play kitchen - a much loved hand me down from my sweet neighbor

Candy Land game (of course we usually have a lollipop while playing this too)

The kids love this game as much as me too!

Little play houses with favorite characters like Winnie The Pooh has gone a long way here
This soft Bunny Family and House which serves as a purse too is (well was) secretly Lolli's favorite!

There you have it. Of course I like all the quiet toys and the ones that boost creativity and interaction the best. I also love most all children's books too but thought it would be fun to share these toys with the grandmamas who follow my blog. Now, why don't each of you share your top 10 favorite toys with me!

Family , food and fun

We had a great Christmas lunch with my side of the family and a great dinner with Jack's side of the family. Lucky for us they live in the same town and we are able to balance both. I know that is hard for a lot of families to do but it is worth the extra efforts to see those we love. I only got a few pictures since I was too busy eatting most of the day!
My Daddy, me and my nephew, Joel

My sister, Barbs, talking to her Christmas day calls
Brother in law, Tom enjoying his favorite red velvet cupcake

Jack and the woman he lives with...a new Downes family joke
Jack's niece, Val, and sister, Gaynell with Penny and Alex busy in the kitchen
