(one of Knox's favorite pacies has an end and one doesn't -one was on the floor)
and here's the reason one is missing!
Next time Lolli will know better not to leave one within Maddox's reach! (I was able to rescue the paci by removing the chewed one and sewing a new paci inside :)

changes

I pondered over a title for this post and this word, changes, is the most descriptive one I could think of for my selection of pictures here.

I captured this butterfly at my hummingbird feeder today and it made me think of the changes I go through in life and how I resist them so dramatically at times forgetting that some of the changes I face could finalize into beautiful things... just like a butterfly changes.

This grandchild will change by the next time I see her. This grandfather changed from being playful Pops one night to...
... to being busy husband making changes in the kitchen the next night
This "I don't want my diaper changed" mood, changed quickly into a very comfortable mood :)
but first she had to make sure the care bear was in her possession
I loved it that she got attached to my lollipop care bear during her visit with us..no other grandchild has paid that bear a bit of attention :) and I have had him several years and now we are making the change from being a busy - buzzing "Lolli and Pops house" back to a quiet little house for 2. Those transistion changes for me are not easy.

and today we said goodbye to the striped wallpaper that originally came with this house(applying a coat of kilz first), I welcomed a new change to our most lived in room of the house and will show you the results tomorrow when it is all put back together!

Warrrr Weagle... Hey..... bye bye

You did not actually think I was finished posting about our Lily Kate time did you?
NO, I have quite a few new pictures I need to share! We had the fortunate opportunity to expose her to the sweet life here on the plains during a home game weekend! She sported her AU wardrobe so cutely and through her babbles you could hear the "War Weagle, and Hey"! real loud and then lots of "bye byes" as we saw lotttsssss of people on Friday and Saturday.
She also got to ride her first shuttle bus and the freedom from her carseat was way too exciting for this wiggle worm. The trip over to the pregame excitement was great and there was a couple with a tiny yorkshire terrior sitting right behind us so let me tell you she was one excited little girl. The fans on the bus were royally entertained between the two:)
all ready to go (I kind of think this child has her Lolli's hair -we can predict the weather by our curls and frizz)!

So here's more of a tour of the AU/LK weekend we had!
We ran errands on Friday and took her to the Mall during some more pouring rain. We had our own little pep rally wherever we went. The fans of a precious toddler in an AU cheerleader outfit are many :)
Weagle hey!

We had to spoil her just a little bit by riding a few rides.
"Nooooo!(a toddler's favorite word), it can't be time to go home yet?"

her funniest little face when she is not thrilled with the carseat confines...we told her the fun would continue through out the weekend and it did :)

It was fun for us just to watch her eat and scoop up every single bite all by herself. She is very good with a fork and a spoon.

After a good bath and some play time, she was raring to go again. One forgets what a sweet time this is in the course of a day. I am convinced that grandparenting is a reward but I am also positive I do not deserve such precious moments as these.
LK's first time at the happenings before the game. She says, "hey where's my coke?"
We waited and waited for Tiger Walk but then the weather got pretty bad.
When it first began to rain, we took refuge inside the coliseum which proved to be the perfect place to let our little one run and explore. I was chasing her past this area
and lo and behold our favorite basketball player from the team last year came out (Quantez Robertson)! He is headed for the big leagues very soon.
He was so nice to let this crazy grandmother get a special picture!
She really wanted to see Aubie but this wall picture had to suffice for this trip.
Lk knows all about the eagle and says tweet tweet for the bird!
War Eagle everyone! It was a fun weekend in Auburn!

Raining Cats and Dogs

As most of you southerners know it has been raining cats and dogs around here..literally!

As Lily Kate and I attempted to take a morning walk during the short dry spells, we were delighted to have a few new friends join us.

we walked upon a barking dog (behind invisable fence)and thus results the serious looks from the feline and her friend :)
Well, since we were having a day of animals getting wet we decided to go see some really wet pets at the library.
Of course we had to make a quick trot around the corner to view some of our horse friends. LK was so excited but the ground was too soggy to let her loose.

our next morning walk brought on a game of chase and a few new faces

We had a great time the last 2 days with all the rain and the animals. At least we didn't see any snakes or dead deer in the neighborhood :) :) :)
