the oldest grands at the Luau

This year I found each older grandchild wanting to help in some way! They were a huge help with the younger ones in the activities and it gave Lolli and Pops much joy to see them in that mode.Since Lauren was here the night before, she and Pops were the early birds filling up the water balloons before the crowd arrived. I think Corey slept in on purpose :) The water balloons are no easy job.

Sydney wanted to hurry up and go fishing so she could go "down under" to help Pops hook up all the fishing prizes! This was a special priviledge just for her.

Brendan made sure everyone was happy with their prizes and was the first one to thank me for his special selection. He enjoyed the horse and monkey craft we had too.

The boys really thrilled me with how much time they spent on their crafts this year. Maybe having a bowl of trail mix on the craft tables helped too :) I'll show you their art work later in the blog :)

Lauren and Sydney both LOVED playing with the little girls.

Annie took a special liking to "Corney" and "Harryson" by the end of the day :)

and sweet Chad took a liking to her too!

Chad is a senior this year! Now we are talking about us really feeling older with a grandchild graduation in the near future. Note that he has on a different shirt in this picture with his mother. The previous picture shows him wearing one of Pop's shirts after he got his Luau shirt soaked in the water balloon fun! I'll show you more on that too later in the blog!

It's the only time of the year we have all of them together( 11 grands in all) and it is quite the blessing for us!
