Once Upon A December - Chapter 4

Once Upon A December on the last night of the girls' visit, there was an annual Christmas Village party nearby. The grandmother was so excited about taking the older granddaughter for she knew there would be lots of fun things she would enjoy there. Since it was sooooo very cold, the grandmother's sweet sweet niece came over to tuck the littlest girl in for the night and stay with her while the oldest one got to have her grandparents all to herself at the Christmas Village.

The older girl was decked out in her warm boots and fleece vest and was ready to go.

She saw Christmas lights and heard music but the greatest treat of all was riding a pony!

She held on like she was an old pro and there was no "Hold Chew" or nothing when it was her turn to hop on "Peanut" the pony! She was all smiles and so was the grandmother!

As was mentioned before, it was a very colddddd night and the grandmother hardly had time to think about dressing herself so she just pulled out all her warmest attire and enjoyed the outing. But that granddaughter did not mind the cold either for she was having way too much fun. She asked to get her face painted when she saw others in line and requested the candy cane design as she munched on her own. Then she saw cotton candy and popcorn and added that to her requests too.

Well, there was one place in the village that the grandmother heard "Hold Chew Lolli" "Hold Chew"! The grandmother just can not figure out why that little girl can hop on a pony with no fear and then be so afraid of a kind old man with a red suit and a white beard that gives out toys and candy canes.

Riding on the Christmas choo choo was almost as fun as the pony rides. The little girl just waved and waved to everyone and hollered "Merry Christmas" to those on the streets while she was riding on the train caboose. As they walked to the car after such a very fun evening, the little girl saw the train one more time and yelled "Merry Christmas you all, choo choo!"
