Once Upon A December

Once upon a December there was a daughter who needed her mom to keep the girls for numerous reasons. So the mom and the stepdad go up the road and meet somewhere halfway at their usual Exon just before the predicted bad weather arrives.
They made it home just as the bad weather hit and one little girl just had to go out on the porch anyway.
The other much younger girl prefered to pull up on all the chairs in the house.

On day 2 the cabin crazy grandmother pulled out all her tricks to keep the girls happy.


She had so much fun watching the girls enjoy Christmas around her house.

One girl just loves to eat and is just beginning to taste some table foods.

She loved everything the grandmother offered her.

All mirrors in the house were filled with happy little smiles each day of the visit

The big mirror with it's extra padding just loves the little exercises done on it when the babies visit.

The smart older girl got caught on camera rearranging the grandmother's tree ornaments

But the grandmother did not care cause she put all the ones within their reach to be handled by those little hands however they wanted them

After 2 days inside the grandmother's house during very bad rain the smart girl started jumping for joy when she heard she might get to go outside the next day!


She said "For real, now don't mess with me about my favorite thing to do around here cause you know how I love playing outside at Lolli's house."
So the next day the grandmother gets everyone dressed and ready to go to the toddler story hour at the library.
The sweet young girl was very cooperative and waiting at the back door to go.
The older girl had to be bribed a little but she saw one glimpse of sunshine and perked up!

Playing puzzles and hearing a story about pigs and making one with glue stickers was a fun little morning. The girls even made it over to see friends at church nearby during the Game morning that the grandmother goes to regularly when they are not here.

Later that afternoon after naps, the grandmother found Bah bah and MeMe laying down inside the jacuzzi tub.
The older girl decided she wanted to join her best friends for this little cold weather indoor activity, since it resemmbles making a tent but it has a wonderful view of the birds flying around after rainy days. The tub has great big picture windows and when you lie down you can see lots of birds flying around.

Now, you did not honestly think the grandmother was going to have the girls for 4 days and not have special lollipop treats, did you? I think the new peppermint kind with chocolate in the middle was a hit!
