shopping cart snob

Anybody out there consider themselves a shopping cart snob? Well, I do and I am! There, I have confessed it. But I am not talking about snobbing off people while shopping. I love speaking to people and giving them a nice warm smile.
I am talking about the cart itself. After going to a Target store and a Walmart store and a grocery store all in the same week, I have decided that there is nothing better than a good shopping cart that moves smoothly and looks like someone takes care of it.
I switched carts at the grocery store with the produce manager when the loud squeaking was evident down his asile where I first strolled my cart. He was very kind to save me the hassle of going back to the front.
Then I went back twice to the Walmart entrance to reselect my cart and it was there that I knew I had become a shopping cart snob! That clerk was not as friendly when I suggested he take that cart to the hospital for repairs.

So, have you concluded with me which place is the winner of the best shopping cart?...............I have to say TARGET is!

Feel free to confess to me your own personal snob issues! I will completely identify with you!

Sunday surprises

What a pleasant surprise we received from Lee and Regan when they called Sunday morning to ask if they could come by for a Sunday afternoon visit! It is so refreshing to watch the excitement of these two expectant new parents and I am just plain grateful to have this gift in life of sharing it with them.

Regan was so kind to oblige me with my picture taking of her tummy and I assured her she will appreciate these as she looks back on her preganancy in the months to come:)
Lee had no problem with my picture taking today but he has balked at it many a time in his past :(. I think he is seeing how posterity is playing out early on. I was glad to have some time with both of them this day because soon and very soon, they will take the back seat as their baby boy takes front seat and center stage!

Having just finished Beth Moore's Bible Study on The Psalms Of Ascent (Psalms 120 - 134), I treasured this particular verse personally today as I anticipate the exciting arrival of baby Knox: Psalms 128:5 & 6 from The Message version, "Enjoy the good life of Jerusalem every day of your life. And enjoy your grandchildren. Peace to Israel!"

And He walks with me....

and He talks with me...

And He tells me I am His own...

And the joy we share...

As we tarry there...
None other has ever known!
Hope you enjoyed my views I captured on my walk today!

John 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Bluebirds

My blue birds are back! I am in love with blue birds in general.
Every year they come and make a nest in one of my birdhouses close to the golf course. (zoom in to see both mama bird and daddy bird on the branch)

I can watch the daddy bird (the bluest one) keeping watch from a tree close to the porch. He will dive bomb another bird or squirrel if they even get close to their bird house.

From the looks of the mama bluebird she has not yet laid her eggs but I can tell she is getting close by how much time she spends inside the box.

Spring is a time for new life. I love how God made the seasons and today I praise Him for all the signs of new life in this season of Spring.

Remote Control Madness

March Madness officially started today but Remote Control Madness has been going on in our house a long time:) Look at those 3 remotes on that table, would you?
Even Annie wishes she could turn on her Dora shows with a simple little button!
And I wish some genious out there would come up with a VERY SIMPLE 1-2-3 remote control that does everything in 1 step without going through 10 menus and 3 remotes just to watch a DVD...blah blah blah! Anybody out there agree with me?

Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows....

Most of you know how much I love to sew for the girls but I also love to find cute outfits in the stores, especially on sale and something they can mix and match other things with. I was pumped to find these at Target just a day before the girls arrived.
I think the girls liked them too and they look so cute and sassy in their ruffled skirts, huh?

There was no sunshine outside the day I dressed them in these but there certainly was sunshine inside our house with these two loves.

This is Jessica 30 years ago
This is Lily Kate this past week (in one of Jessica's old dresses).... except for her hair color, It's like I am looking at my little girl all over again through my grandbaby!

Annie has grown up learning to feed the horses now without our assistance.

We enjoyed being outside a lot last week. Horses, bubbles, the neighbor's kitty cat, grass, sunshine, and warm weather = giggles, babbles, laughter!
Pops and Lily Kate having a sweet moment It was precious watching the girls interact with each other at meals particularly.

Everyone knows there will be lollipops to eat at this house :)

uNCLE pOOKIE AND auNTIE

Uncle Pookie and Auntie, otherwise known as Lee and Regan, came up Saturday while we had the girls to visit. We tried to visit The Air Show at our local airport but the weather was so bad we ended up just going to lunch at Niffers and hanging out at the house. The girls loved the attention from their aunt and uncle. It won't be too much longer before they have a little boy cousin to play with on future visits!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

I have always had a special place in my heart for the elderly and continue to take the girls to see those living in a local retirement home when I can. Our friend, Mrs. Dorothy had her St. Patrick's Day wreath on her door and that was a perfect photo opp for today! Lily Kate is trying to read already:) Annie wanted to take her little kitty cat with us to show off.
This tiger has seen many a day with my grandchildren. It would not be the same without a ride on him when they visit Auburn.
Sweet "Mrs. SuMe" went with us and helped Lolli as we visited the residents of Monarch Estates.
We found Mrs. Dorothy in the beauty shop. Those ladies had never had such good entertainement while sitting under the dryers! The girls danced and clapped and shared snacks with everyone. I love seeing all those smiles at the sight of sweet babies.

Have I ever told you how much I love being Lolli?
