Rain Forest Hike

Our whole team got to go together on a 2 hour hike through a rain forest on the morning of our last day. It was hot, humid but oh so green with creatures and beautiful plants! We saw horses, cows, butterflys, herrons, flowers and even ants carrying tiny leaves, but here is what we saw that you don't often see in Alabama:

the red eyed tree frog of Costa Rica -it is really small in size

a very poisonous viper snake right in our walking path...yikes!

a shakey swinging bridge over the river

the fruit berry that produces glue!

a pretty little black, yellow and white bird

the famous "blue jean" Costa Rican frog

This is Rebecca, one of our team leaders, whose brother and sister in law are the missionaries in San José and who arranged all our work there.

it was a long bridge--------------------------I was glad to get to the other side!

This is Debra with a jungle beetle on her. She was brave :)

And wouldn't you know that there was a heart ♥ shaped leaf just for me in the rain forest!
