My kids loved rice krispie treats when they were growing up so when Jessica asked me to make these bird nests for Annie's party, I found myself looking back again. Being a grandmother does that to you a lot!
I am definetly more proned to make a sweet treat from scratch more than I am a meat and vegetables meal from scratch. I have always loved the colors involved in Easter treats and seeing the delight in people's faces when you give them one is worth the time and mess in your kitchen! The recipe was in the Spring issue of The Paula Dean Magazine.(For the candy eggs, I used reeses peanut butter eggs and whoppers malted milk mini speckled eggs).
