Waiting...

Waiting is hard most of the time, It requires patience and having patience is just plain hard too. But yesterday, April 9th was a day of waiting that was FUN! I spent the afternoon and evening waiting with my sister and her family on her first grandbaby to make her entrance into our world. And Little Miss Reese Avery Dismukes arrived last night at 8:34 weighing 4 lb. 14 oz and 18" long. She was appropiately nicknamed "peanut" early in the pregnancy and after seeing her last night, she is a perfectly beautiful little peanut!

Barbs (now to be called Babs) and I enjoyed a chicken salad chik lunch in the hospital courtyard while we waited... We marveled together that both our first granddaughter's births will be remembered for occuring on Maundy Thursday before Easter...

I enjoyed visiting and watching with Joel, Scott and Cat while we were waiting....

And here is all the reason in the world while waiting is good for us! Isn't she just a little doll one hour after she is born?

Jennifer and Reese, mother and daughter, waited nine months to see each other and here they are, a wonderful tender picture of love, and a great reminder to all, of God's gift of new life to each of us during this Easter week.
