She was toooo cute in her little pink helmet and was ready to play ball!
two of her biggest sports fans were there.
one big brother was also there :) even though he ran around more than he watched the game :)
she hit that ball every time with a pink bat and...
she ran fast to all the bases and home plate when she was told to also!
her coach gave her a big cheer when she tagged a girl out during one inning! Her fans were quite enthusiastic too!
Watching 5 year olds at t-ball on a sunny Saturday morning is an all American kind of day, huh?!
Our next stop was to Cumming, Georgia to see Lauren's play. Kimberly greeted us at the door of their beautiful home.
Greg spent time trying his best to educate us on the latest technology (quite a common thing that happens whenever we are with kids lately)
we took Sydney with us to have some one on one time with her and as a bonus she really enjoyed being with her older cousin before the play.
there was no sign of Corey so I ventured upstairs to find him and his room was empty except for...
all these tiger things (such a big big Auburn fan which I love)
then I ventured across the hall to see if he might be in Lauren's room and NO WAY would he be in there...:)here he is = outside of course playing with his friend and new airsoft gun. We felt like we were watching Saturday morning kid shows with all this activity happening in our otherwise pretty quiet world. It was fun to be out of routine this weekend.
Next stop was to Crabbtree, Georgia where the children's theatre is that Lauren performs in.
We were so proud to watch Lauren in the play, SCHOOL HOUSE ROCK LIVE! Jr., an Off Broadway Children's Theatre
she had a solo voice part that made us bust our buttons!(she is in the red shirt with the cute dimples sitting on the block)
They sang all the favorites like, "Conjunction Junction" and "Unpack Your Adjectives" and "I'm Just A Bill"!
Sydney spent the night with us after the play and she was one tired cookie (she had been to a sleep over party the night before where they slept outside, if they did any sleeping that is)...
this is how she ate breakfast on Sunday morning!
but she perked up to go to church with us and looked so darling in her polka dotted dress (I hardly ever get to see her in a dress)
Pops is her only grandfather alive. He was pleased that Sydney wanted to spend time with us. I'd say that he has been blessed to have so many precious granddaughters in his life.
after church my neighborhood twin boyfriends popped over to say hi with their older brother and it was an ideal time to eat chocolate ice cream and lollipops together (I seriously don't always load them up with all this sugar at one sitting)
Sydney, Benjamin, Christian, and Jacob all had a contest to see just how many licks it does take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop. Do you know? (answer = at the bottom of this post!)
after the lollipops and ice cream the boys left and before Sydney had to go home, I taught her how to cross stitch. She caught on very quick and seemed to really like the hand sewing. First thing we worked on was how to thread a needle and how to tie a knot in the thread. The girl is a natural!
Have I ever told you how much I love being Lolli?
