What would you do?

What would you do if your grandchildren wanted to spend time at your house with you? What would you do if you loved activites, used to be an activity director, majored in Recreation Administration, aspired to have the most fun in life you could and were suddenly blessed with 10 (and one on the way) grandchildren who LOVE to have fun?

You would probably do what I did. I planned all year for a special time with these kids, with lots of activities to do within our area (preferably ones that they don't usually do), pray for sunshine, organize my menus ahead of time, buy lots of lollipops and snack food, stock up on fun prizes for games, and rest a few days before they come!

And what would you do if you heard about a farm nearby that had 17 ponies, 2 baby goats, 3 friendly llamas, a pot bellied pig, a sheep, a donkey, several playful dogs = 32 animals in all?

I think you would do what I did. I kept it a big secret, made a reservation for our visits to the farm, told their mamas to pack their tennis shoes and socks (since all they wear is crocs and flip flops in the summer) and prayed for sunshine!

And then I blindfolded these kids the mornings of our adventures, played some of their music in the car while they giggled and tried to guess where Pops was driving us to and thanked the Lord for BEAUTIFUL sunshine and even cooler summer weather than we had been having and last but not least I got my camera ready to take LOTS of pictures.
Stay tuned for lots of pictures of our 2 visits these past 2 weeks of the oldest grandsons and the oldest granddaughters.

Have I ever told you how much I love being Lolli? :)
